The TY Sailing Program has run for a number of years now, very successfully between the Dun Laoghaire clubs (RSGYC, NYC and RIYC) and has proved to be a great way to keep our teenagers involved in sailing through their TY year,  prepare them for instructing, and to build lifelong friendships.

A History of the Royal Irish Yacht Club

For the past six years we have been running a very successful Adult Sailing programme in which we teach adults to sail using our 1720 fleet. 

We are delighted to announce that at the Annual General Meeting, held Tuesday 30 April, 2024, the new Flag Officers were elected.

Congratulations to our RIYC White Sails Cruiser team of Joan Sheffield (Just Jasmin), Katherine Sheehan (Great Escape) and Catherine Day (Shearwater) on winning the Roy Family Perpetual Trophy for the best team performance at the Women At The Helm (WATH) 2024 regatta held at Dun Laoghaire.

In order to mark the 50th Anniversary of the Fastnet Race, the Crew of the 'Irish Independent' will bestow their trophy to the Club as a perpetual award.

The defibrillator is located in the Catering Office corridor, on the right-hand side, just inside the doorway coming from the main foyer.

Many of you will have seen the new Liebherr LRT 1090 crane on the deck over the past week. This is being commissioned at present and we expect it to be fully operational next week.
