2025 Wine Dinners
Friday 28th of February 7.30 pm – Exploring Valserrano in Rioja with Pablo de Simon of Bodegas de La Marquesa Valserrano.
Enjoy the fruits of the vine from BODEGAS DE LA MARQUESA – VALSERRANO, a family centenarian winery founded in 1880 and located in Villabuena de Álava, Rioja Alavesa, on the gentle slopes that descend from the Sierra de Cantabria to the Ebro Valley, in RIOJA, northern Spain.
Five generations later, despite phylloxera, Spanish civil war, ups and downs of the economy, and other normal family issues, Pablo reminds us that “the excellence of our wines has only one secret: our constant dedication to work well done and respect for the earth and its fruits from generation to generation.”
We will taste some of the main wines of the Bodega, emphasizing the comparison of the classic traditional Riojas (Reserva and Gran Reserva), with the modern single vineyard ones.
