The Dragon South Coast Championships, hosted by Baltimore Sailing Club, delivered a superb three days of racing marked by strong competition, warm hospitality, and a collegiate atmosphere with our sister clubs.
Sir Ossis of the River and Zinzan represented the Club in a competitive fleet. Racing took place west of Sherkin Island, with glorious blue skies and a consistent 12–18 knot easterly breeze providing champagne conditions for all 3 days; perfect for testing boat speed, tactics, and teamwork.
The daily sail out to the course was a highlight in itself, weaving through the spectacular islands off Baltimore and offering regular sightings of dolphins, seals, and seabirds - a stunning backdrop to the racing ahead.
Both boats held their own over the series, with plenty of close racing and tactical challenges on the water. Ashore, the welcome in Baltimore was mighty!
