The ITRA Schools Leinster Team Racing Championships unfolded spectacularly on Friday, March 7th, hosted by the Royal Irish Yacht Club (RIYC). Sixteen teams from across the province showcased exceptional sailing prowess, competing in a series of 56 thrilling races. Many thanks to RO Robbie Walker and his experienced race committee and all volunteers.
St Andrew's College 1, won the event, taking the Trophy for the 3rd year running.

The day presented sailors with challenging conditions, as winds escalated to 18 knots. Despite the gusty environment, participants demonstrated remarkable team racing skills, executing swift and tactical manoeuvres that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.
The event highlighted the depth of talent among Leinster's young sailors. The RIYC, with its rich sailing heritage, once again provided an excellent venue, fostering both competition and camaraderie among the teams.
This championship not only celebrated the competitive spirit of the participants but also underscored the growing enthusiasm for team racing within schools. The dedication of coaches, organizers, and volunteers played a pivotal role in the event's success, ensuring a memorable experience for all involved.
